With Deion Branch returning to the starting lineup, Bobby Engram will slide to the slot, where he had a career-high 94 receptions last season. Jordan Kent or Courtney Taylor will play the fourth receiver, depending on how they practice this week
Meanwhile, FB Leonard Weaver is likely out with bruised ribs, meaning rookie Owen Schmitt will start. T.J. Duckett could have an increased role, as well.
PLAYER NOTES
--QB Matt Hasselbeck got clearance from team doctors on Wednesday night, practiced on Thursday and will start Sunday's game.
--WR Deion Branch went through his second full practice and will start at flanker on Sunday.
--DE Patrick Kerney did not practice because of a shoulder injury and is out of Sunday's game.
--DT Red Bryant did not practice because of a high ankle sprain and is likely out.
--FB Leonard Weaver is doubtful for Sunday with bruised ribs. If he cannot play, rookie Owen Schmitt will fill in.
--LB David Hawthorne (calf) did not practice and is doubtful for Sunday's game.
--S C.J. Wallace has a pulled hamstring, restricting him from practicing. He is doubtful for Sunday.
--QB Seneca Wallace's sore groin has kept him from practicing this week and he is doubtful for Sunday. If he is sidelined, Charlie Frye will back up Matt Hasselbeck.
GAME PLAN: The Seahawks need to get pressure on QB Kurt Warner, whose MVP-like statistics are sure to be a problem for Seattle's secondary, which has given up 14 TD passes through nine games this season. They also would like to establish their running game, which could keep Warner off the field and prevent him from picking on Seattle's smallish cornerbacks.
MATCHUPS TO WATCH: Seahawks CBs Josh Wilson and Marcus Trufant vs. Cardinals WRs Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin. The 5-9 Wilson and 5-11 Trufant will be at a decided size disadvantage against the 6-3 Fitzgerald and 6-1 Boldin.
Seahawks DEs Darryl Tapp and Lawrence Jackson vs. Cardinals offensive line. Tapp and Jackson have a combined three sacks. Arizona has given up just 16 sacks all season.
INJURY IMPACT: Because QB Seneca Wallace, who started the last three games, has a groin injury, Charlie Frye will have to start if Matt Hasselbeck cannot play this week, though Hasselbeck is expected to play after missing five weeks.
