--The Seahawks almost universally say Rams offensive lineman Richie Incognito is the dirtiest player in the NFL. Linebacker Julian Peterson said Incognito tried to twist off Leroy Hill's ankle last year and Incognito pulled the helmet off defensive end Darryl Tapp last year and threw it 15 yards down the field.
--Offensive guard Floyd Womack, who has been injury prone in the past, said he has stayed healthy this season in part because he lost 25 pounds in the offseason through a better diet.
--Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren said a part of him thinks that he wants to rectify the team's struggles this season immediately. However, his wife reminds him that he is going to take a sabbatical after the season and those thoughts quickly dissipate.
Holmgren is going to play all three of the team's running backs this week, including Julius Jones, who did not play last week for the first time in his career. Holmgren said that decision was incidental and not intentional, happening only because starter Mo Morris was playing well.
--The Seahawks' makeshift offensive line said it played well last week in part because it banded together because it knew everybody thought it was going to get bull-rushed by the Patriots.
BY THE NUMBERS: 172 -- Numbers of career victories for Seattle coach Mike Holmgren, who is 10th on the NFL's all-time list.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "We used to battle for the top of the division, now both of us are having a tough year. There's still a lot of pride in both organizations. I think the players, naturally, every time they go out there, they go out to win. This game will be no different, I'm sure." -- Coach Mike Holmgren on the Seahawks' game against St. Louis this week.
