
--CB Kelly Jennings said a defensive play he made against the Miami Dolphins gave him confidence that has been lacking all season. Jennings has been burned on at least four occasions this year for long touchdowns, and he admitted that he was down in the dumps. "Now I figured I just have to get the joy of playing back," Jennings said.
--Former UW coach Rick Neuheisel is coming into town this week with his current team, UCLA. Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren takes credit for starting Neuheisel's coaching career. Holmgren was QBs coach in San Francisco when Neuheisel was in the Niners' training camp. Holmgren said he told Neuheisel he needed to begin concentrating on his life's work. "We were at a banquet together and he kind of drilled me on that one a little bit," Holmgren said.
--Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren said it would be very difficult to go back to coaching a college team - even though he likes the vibrant atmosphere of a college campus. "There's raising money, there's cocktail parties, there's all sorts of things," Holmgren said. "You have to be nice to everybody."
--PK Olindo Mare, who used to play for the Miami Dolphins, was a member of Grande Oaks Golf Club when he was living in South Florida. That is the course where they filmed the movie "Caddyshack."
--CB Marcus Trufant had a career-high three interceptions the last time the Seahawks played the Cardinals, a 42-20 Seahawks victory.
--QB Matt Hasselbeck threw three TD passes in the first quarter of the last game the teams played and recorded a 131.6 passer rating, the fourth-best of his career.
--OT Walter Jones has started in all 177 games he has played in. He is fifth in franchise history in games played and second in games started.
