
--When the teams met last year in Philadelphia, linebacker Lofa Tatupu had three interceptions, including one in the final minute that preserved the 28-24 victory.
--When the teams met in 2005, Tatupu had an interception return for a TD. However, Tatupu has never played against Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb, injured the last two games.
--When Mike Holmgren was the quarterbacks coach at BYU under Lavelle Edwards, Eagles coach Andy Reid was a graduate assistant. Holmgren later hired Reid as his offensive line coach at Green Bay then made him tight ends coach then quarterbacks coach. He endorsed Reid for the Eagles head coaching position.
--After the Seahawks defeated San Francisco on Sunday, Niners coach Mike Singletary apologized for the loss. Holmgren on Wednesday said he would never publicly apologize for a loss because it would undermine the effort his players put forth.
--Safety Brian Russell was the player who was hit in the helmet by Niners tight end Vernon Davis, drawing an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, which prompted Mike Singletary to send Davis to the locker room. "The good thing about it was the ref was standing right there," Russell said. "Usually it happens and you go complain to the ref and he tells you he didn't see it. But he was standing right next to us, and when he hit me in the facemask I looked at him and said, 'You have to call that one, right?' Hey, 15 yards for the good guys. What are you gonna do?"
-- Speculation is running rampant that Seahawks defensive backs coach Jim Mora will be the next coach at UW, even though Mora already has been announced as Holmgren's replacement. The Seahawks have repeatedly declined to address the speculation.
--QB Matt Hasselbeck's brother, Tim, told ESPN that there is a chance that Matt's bulging disc in his back may be serious enough to keep him out the rest of the year. The Seahawks did not respond.
BY THE NUMBERS: 5 -- Running backs who have two touchdown receptions for more than 43 yards in the same game. Seahawks FB Leonard Weaver joined the group on Sunday. He is the only fullback among the group.
